The Caribou Dining chair marries beauty and simplicity into one stunning piece. Inspired by the slender legs of a Caribou, this chair’s frame is constructed of solid teak wood with a clear powder coating and an aluminum seat and back. Sleek design was achieved by joining metal and wood components, as the Caribou displays a seamless intersection of materials that rely on each other for structural support. Produced with traditional joinery methods for the wood frame, the chair's teak side rails are held together by its metal seat and back supports using traditional, handmade techniques.
The Kumiki Dining chair exemplifies Japanese minimalism and precision with it’s interlocking wooden frame and simple woven seat creating a striking profile. The Kumiki Collection design was inspired by a type of Japanese puzzle, which are comprised of interlocking wooden pieces. These puzzles were often used by master woodworkers to learn the art of constructing wooden structures in the absence of metal pieces or fasteners.
This ethereal light series crafted with zippers manifests ‘broken-symmetry’. This collection is the best representation of our mission: handcrafting poetic yet elegant lighting with a twist of unexpected material choices.
